Medicare Supplements do NOT include drug coverage, so you will need to get drug coverage in a separate plan. The big plus to getting your Medicare through Traditional Medicare and a Medicare Supplement plan is that you will have very little out-of-pocket cost (depending on the Supplement you choose).
With Plan G (very popular), you just pay the Part B deductible, which is currently $226 annually in 2023. BUT your monthly premium cost will be higher than a Medicare Advantage plan.
The monthly premium amounts vary by specific Medicare Supplement plan, Age, Gender, Tobacco Usage, and Location, so please contact us to get more details. To give you a “ballpark” price on a Medicare Supplement in Georgia see below:
Age | Female | Male |
---|---|---|
Age 65 | $110 per month (average) | $125 per month (average) |
Age 70 | $130 per month (average) | $145 per month (average) |
Age 75 | $140 per month (average) | $155 per month (average) |
Disclaimer: The above monthly costs are a “ballpark” figure and are subject to change based on the factors above.
You should also choose a stand-alone Prescription Drug Plan if you choose the Medicare Supplement option. To learn more about stand-alone Prescription Drug Plans also known as Medicare Part D, click here.
