Original Medicare is comprised of Part A, which helps cover Hospitalization, and Part B, which helps cover Doctor’s Visits, Outpatient Services, Emergency Room, Ambulance, Medical Equipment, and more. It is not 100% coverage and does not include Prescription Drug Coverage.
Having only Original Medicare might leave you with high unexpected cost. For most Medicare consumers we recommend either adding a Medicare Supplement Plan and a Prescription Drug Plan or getting your Medicare through a Medicare Advantage Prescription Drug Plan (MAPD).
